Quote & Supply Terms

Quotations are prepared from the drawings, files, measurements, samples and information you supply. Accuracy of that information is your responsibility.

• Unless stated otherwise on the quotation, a quotation is valid for 30 days from its date.
• Quotations are based on current material availability and pricing. Where material prices, availability, freight costs or specifications change, we may revise or re-issue the quotation before an order is accepted.
• A quotation is an offer to supply the specific parts described. It is not a representation that a part is fit for any particular application.
• Estimates given verbally, by phone or as an indicative price are not binding until confirmed in writing.

If your drawing, material, quantity, tolerance, finish, timeframe or delivery location changes after a quotation is issued, the quotation must be revised. Revised pricing and lead times apply from the date of the revision.

If a change is requested after an order has been accepted and work has commenced, we will advise the cost and lead-time impact. You are responsible for the cost of material and machining already committed, plus any rework required.

An order is formed when you confirm a quotation in writing (including by email) and we accept that order. Custom machined parts are made to your specification and cannot be resold as stock.

• Once accepted, an order is binding and cannot be cancelled, varied or returned without our written agreement.
• Where we agree to a cancellation, you remain liable for materials purchased, machine time committed, programming and setup performed, and work completed to that point.
• Custom parts are not accepted for return or refund on the basis of change of mind, incorrect ordering, or unsuitability for an application.
• Deposits may be required for materials, tooling or large orders. Payment terms are those stated on the quotation or invoice.

We machine to the drawing, dimensions and specification you approve. Where a drawing is unclear, incomplete or internally inconsistent, we will ask for clarification; where you instruct us to proceed on an assumption, that assumption forms part of the approved specification.

You warrant that you are entitled to supply the drawings and designs you send us, and that machining them does not infringe any third party's intellectual property rights. You retain ownership of your designs, and we treat them as confidential — a confidentiality agreement or NDA is available on request.

Material availability may vary depending on thickness, size, tolerance, finish and project requirements. Where a specified material or grade is unavailable, we will propose an alternative for your written approval before proceeding.

• Tolerances are as stated on the approved drawing. Where no tolerance is specified, standard commercial machining tolerances apply.
• Plastics can move with temperature, moisture and machining stress. Where dimensional stability is critical, the tolerance must be stated on the drawing and confirmed at quotation.
• Protective and cosmetic finishes — including galvanising, painting, powder coating, anodising and passivation — are applied as a separate finishing process and must be specified and confirmed at quotation.
• Minor variations in surface finish, colour, tool marks and mill finish are normal characteristics of machined material and are not defects.

You are responsible for selecting the material, dimensions, tolerances and finish appropriate to your application, and for determining that the part is fit for its intended use.

We machine to your specification. Unless we have expressly agreed in writing to provide design or engineering advice for a stated application, we give no warranty or representation that a part is suitable for any particular purpose, load, pressure, temperature, chemical exposure, wear condition, food-contact, structural, safety-critical or load-bearing use.

Where a part is used in a safety-critical, structural or regulated application, you are responsible for obtaining independent engineering certification and for all required testing, inspection and compliance.

Lead times are estimates given in good faith and are not guaranteed. They begin from written order acceptance, receipt of any required deposit and receipt of final approved drawings, and may be affected by material supply, finishing processes and freight.

Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery or collection. Title remains with us until payment is received in full. Please inspect parts on receipt and notify us in writing of any shortage, damage or claimed non-conformance within 7 days of delivery, before the parts are installed, modified or put into service.

We warrant that parts will be machined in accordance with the approved drawing and specification, using reasonable care and skill. Where a part is genuinely not machined to the approved specification, our liability is limited, at our option, to re-machining or replacing the part, or refunding the price paid for it.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for:

• any indirect or consequential loss, including loss of profit, loss of production, downtime, plant or equipment damage, labour costs, freight or installation and removal costs;
• loss or damage arising from incorrect, incomplete or unsuitable drawings, dimensions, material selection or specifications supplied or approved by you;
• loss or damage arising from use of a part outside the application, load or conditions it was specified for, or from modification, misuse or normal wear; or
• delays caused by material supply, third-party finishing processes or freight carriers.

Our total aggregate liability in connection with any order is limited to the price paid for the parts giving rise to the claim.

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded.

These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia, and the parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland and the Commonwealth of Australia.
