What drawing and file formats can you work from?
We accept PDF, DXF, DWG, STEP, STP, STL, IGES, IGS, JPG, JPEG, PNG and ZIP files. Fully dimensioned 2D drawings and 3D STEP models are ideal, but a marked-up sketch, a photo of the existing part or a hand measurement is often enough for us to review the requirement and quote.
I don't have a CAD file — can you still help?
Yes. Many enquiries arrive as a sketch, a photo, or a sample part. Send whatever you have, along with key dimensions, thickness, quantity and how the part is used, and we will review it and come back to you with any questions before quoting.
Do you make one-off parts and prototypes?
Yes. We machine single prototypes, small batches and repeat production runs. One-off replacement parts for machinery and equipment maintenance are a routine part of our work.
Which materials can you machine?
Engineering plastics including HDPE, UHMWPE, acetal, nylon, PVC, acrylic, polycarbonate and PTFE, plus metals including aluminium, mild steel and stainless steel. Mild steel can be supplied with galvanising or other protective finishes where required. Material availability may vary with thickness, size, tolerance and finish.
Can you machine a replacement part from a worn or broken sample?
In most cases, yes. Send photos and measurements, or arrange to send the sample to us. Where a feature is worn beyond measurement we will confirm the intended dimension with you before machining.
Are my drawings and designs kept confidential?
Yes. Files you send are treated as commercially confidential, stored in private access-controlled storage, and used only to quote and manufacture your parts. You retain ownership of your intellectual property. A confidentiality agreement or NDA is available on request — just ask before sending your files.
How long does a quote take, and how long is it valid?
Most drawing-based enquiries are reviewed and quoted promptly after we have the information we need. Unless stated otherwise, quotations are valid for 30 days and are based on current material availability and pricing.
Do you deliver Australia-wide?
Yes. We supply machined plastic and metal parts to businesses, manufacturers, engineers and fabricators anywhere in Australia. Include your delivery suburb and state with your enquiry so freight can be allowed for.
Who is responsible for choosing the right material and tolerances?
We machine to the specification you approve, so material selection, tolerances, finish and suitability for the application remain your responsibility. We are happy to discuss options from experience, and for safety-critical or structural applications you should obtain independent engineering advice. See our Quote & Supply Terms for detail.
